I have covered the basics of how search engines rank pages in another article, but came across a visual aid that I wanted to share. It was created by PPC Blog and gives a nice visual representation of how Google works. Some of the information is speculation because nobody knows for sure the inner workings of Big G, but I think it is pretty close.
